Instruction

The Riding Lesson Program includes students from age 4 to "mature"!  All lessons emphasize  the basics of classical dressage for use in all disciplines beyond the sport of Dressage such as jumping and recreational trail riding.  Our school horses are patient and well trained for their job.  Some horses are trained and quiet for show competition if the rider has ambition to pursue that end of the sport.  ASH Stables students have the opportunity to compete at local or recognized shows if that is their interest.  Lessons are scheduled for the length of an hour and beginners receive assistance in learning their skills in horse care/tacking/grooming/etc.  All beginners start their riding instruction on the longe line to underscore the basics of the seat and balance, and many times more advanced riders will request longeline lessons to review their position and aids or restore confidence from absence of riding for a while. More advanced students may thrive on the challenges that are before them to learn the gymnastics of training such as leg yield, shoulder-in, renvers, travers, and half pass.

Rates:
1 hour group with coupon book = 4 lessons  $140.  
1 hour group paid singly = $45.
1 hour private $60.
